1. Earth Systems and Planets > 1c. Planetary geophysics

Conveners:
Ralph Lorenz (Johns Hopkins University)
Norbert Schörghofer (University of Hawaii)

Solicited Speaker: Clément Narteau, IPGP

Keywords: Geophysical processes on other planets, moons, and minor bodies. Planetary interiors and surfaces. Surface-atmosphere interactions. Analogue field studies. Laboratory analogues.

Planetary exploration provides new arenas for geophysical investigations, opening both new parameter regimes and new motivations for study. This session will address geophysical observations of and model analyses for planetary bodies (planets, satellites and small bodies). Contributions discussing laboratory studies and terrestrial analog investigations with planetary applications are also solicited.
